Policies and Procedures
Registration
There is a one-time registration fee of $25 per family. Payment must be made at the time of registration. For private swim lessons a credit card must be held in order to hold the lesson time.
Please arrive on time for your class or lesson
Regardless of what time a swimmer arrives, lessons will not extend longer than 5 minutes past the scheduled end time. (Schedule permitting).
Swimming Attire
Swimsuits – Although it is not a requirement, we recommend that girls wear one-piece swimsuits
Goggles* – It is strongly encouraged that all swimmers wear a pair of goggles during lessons.
Swim Caps* – All swimmers with hair below their ears must wear a swim cap.
Swim Diapers* – Children under the age of 3 or children who are not yet potty trained must wear a swim diaper. See “Accidents Policy” below.

Accidents Policy
While we understand that accidents happen, if a child has a fecal accident in the water that may contain harmful bacteria or a parasite, it may cause us to close that pool for a lengthy period of time for the decontamination process. Therefore, please do your best to avoid your child having an accident during the lesson. If a pool much be closed due to your child’s accident, you will be assessed fees lost due to the closure.
Instructors
Instructors are subject to change. You may make a request, but we cannot guarantee that you will be able to have a specific instructor. We do our best to keep the classes consistent, but we cannot guarantee that you will have the same instructor from class to class. It is beneficial to periodically have different instructors to enhance the learning process.
Pool Area/ Waiting Room
Parents, if your child is in a lesson, we ask that you please stay in the waiting area until the lesson is finished. Please do your best to monitor your children in the waiting area.
Group Swim Lesson Payment Options & Make-Up Policies
Pay per session
- Payment is required at the time of registration
- By paying for a 4-week session, you are not guaranteed a spot in the class after the 4 classes unless you inform us that you plan to continue in that class.
Make-Ups
- We offer one make-up class per month, at 7:00 PM on the third Wednesday of the month. If your child misses a class during their session they may attend this class however they MUST sign up for the class prior to that night. This class is open to any age or level student.
Class Sizes
Our group swim classes are limited to a maximum of four participants per instructor. SwimLabs reserves the right to combine classes or to move a child into a different lesson in an effort to better utilize our pools.
Class Schedule:
Classes are on-going. There are no start/end dates associated with sessions. Swimmers can join us at any time of the month or year, subject to availability. Our class schedule is subject to change anytime. We will do our best to inform you of any upcoming changes in advance.
Private / Semi-Private Swim Lesson Payment Options & Scheduling
Pay per lesson
- A credit card must be put on hold in order to secure a lesson.
- Lessons may be paid for at the time of each lesson via credit card or check or cash. However, we must have a credit card number on file in the instance that a swim lesson is missed (please see next item).
- Cancellations – For private lessons and semi-private lessons we require 24 hours notice. If less than 24 hours notice is given, then you will be charged for that lesson or if you have a package then one lesson will be deducted from your package.
Packages
- Packages may be purchased for private and semi-private swim lessons.
- Each time you arrive for a lesson a lesson is deducted from your package.
- Cancellations – If you have a package and you cancel a lesson less than 24-hours prior to your scheduled lesson then a lesson will be deducted from your package. (Please see cancellation policy above)
Scheduling for private and semi-private lessons
You may schedule your private or semi-private swim lessons as you wish. If you would like to schedule your lessons at the same time week to week please speak with an employee at SwimLabs about setting that up for you. Otherwise, we will not reserve that time for you and will book other lessons.
Private lessons are one participant and semi-privates are two participants (we do not arrange semi-private lessons between parties).
