Visual Feedback
The problem with traditional Swim Analysis and Improvement is that there is really no good way to visually communicate to students what proper swimming technique “looks like”. For years, coaches have had to rely solely on verbal communication when discussing swimming technique with their students, and just hope that their students understood what they were to do.
At SwimLabs, we have solved this problem in two distinct ways: We have installed 4 mirrors in each of our Endless Pools, and we have also designed and installed our 360 Swimming View System in each of our pools.
The mirrors in our pools are mounted directly in front of and beneath the main swimming area of each pool. This allows us to provide “live” visual feedback to our clients as they practice their swimming technique.
Our SwimLabs 360 Swimming View System is the other half of our Visual feedback System. Our system uses a total of 3 cameras, one mounted over the swimming area, one mounted in front of the swimming area, & a mobile camera. This allows us to capture 360 degree views of each swimmer in action, both above and below the water. We display video taken from each of these cameras on High Definition Monitors mounted at each swimming area, using our Dartfish Video Analysis software.
By providing constant visual feedback to our clients, we are able to accelerate and improve our clients learning process, as they are better able to understand exactly how to perform and correct their swimming technique.
