We know that the interactions that you have with your children at the pool are crucial to their overall development both as children and young swimmers. This class is designed to teach parents the skills necessary to safely interact with and teach their children at the pool in a productive, fun way.
This class was designed with two key focus elements in mind: 1: To instruct parents in the proper methodology to safely interact with their children in the water in a productive way, and 2, to begin teaching toddlers the techniques necessary to learn to swim.
Prerequisites
• In water Adult Participation is required
• Child must be 1 years old
• Child must be wearing an approved Swim Diaper
Skills Taught
• Acclimation of Student and Parent into the SwimLabs environment
• Familiarizing Students and Parents with the SwimLabs learning progression
• Instruction of proven, safe techniques for interacting with children in the swimming pool
• Beginning submersion skills (blowing bubbles, etc)
• Front and Back Float learning progressions
• Beginning arm and leg movement (Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly)
Goals
• To familiarize both parents and children with the SwimLabs learning progression and staff of instructors
• To help parents learn to safely and effectively interact with their children in the water
• To teach 1-3 year olds to learn to swim (Back Float, Submersion, Front Float, Beginning Freestyle, Backstroke, and Butterfly progressions)
Cost
This program costs $65 Dollars a month for once weekly classes. There is an Auto-Pay option available for those interested.
Schedule
Highlands Ranch: Tuesday and Friday: 10:00 a.m., Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.
Broncos Parkway: Thursday at 10:00 a.m., Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.
